The city with no traffic lights

It may sound strange, but it's real. San Martín de los Andes - Argentina, is a small city located is the south of teh country, has no traffic lights. It is a turistic destination specially in winter for practicing sports, and there is always turists and local driving along it. So, how would it be possible not to have traffic lights? - easy, respect is the clue. Everybody is awared that yhere is no red green lights and you have to pay speciall attention to it. Yield to pedestrians is a must in this place, respect speed limits (pretty slow of course) has become an everyday activity. In this way, everybody lives in harmony.

Nature near Quito

PAPALLACTA  This is a lake located 67 kilometers east from Quito at 3180 meters above sea level. You can get there by bus or by car; it'll take around one hour and a half and the road is good and safe - great views for great pictures. The origin of the name comes from kichwa (language) - papa means potato and llacta means land, so Papallacta means the land of potatoes . The lake is near a small village alsa named Papallacta.  There are some places to visit there in Papallacta. Hungry? small restaurants and places will offer you food from the area: corn, meat and of course potatoes. You can also go to a Spa where you can get massages and treatments for your body... simply awesome; pools with natural hot water, walk around nature along paths or just relax and enjoy the beauty of the place. Don't forget to bring some warm clothes. I just stayed one night in the place, but I think it was enough for us (my wife and me) to renew energies and keep going.
